Sacred or
Profane? That’s the question. First of all, one does not seem to exist without
the other, at least in our materialistic conception. In a spiritual conception
the point may be different.
The drawing
is an inspiration of a Lucian Freud drawing. The colours are fauves. The traces
are abstract expressionism, action painting, Jackson Pollock.
After the drawing
I glued a paper on it and then threw the painting, so the drawing did no
receive the thrown painting. After painting the naked man I used black colour
to contour it, as Maurice de Vlaminck used to do to highlight the fauve
colours. It works perfectly.
What does
it suggest? A moment in my life of sex thoughts. The will to start again expressing myself. A door open to the world of colours.
